Description Develops and executes category plans to drive improvements in supplier quality, total cost effectiveness, supplier service levels, coordination, delivery, pricing, lead-times, payments and risk mitigation. Executes category sourcing strategies including development and implementation of RFIs and RFPs, selection criteria, supplier negotiation and ongoing supplier management. Engages with operations, production, sales and other cross-functional teams to ensure ongoing alignment and support of category management or new product introduction goals and objectives. Responsibilities Supports team and cross-functional efforts focused on end-to-end development and management of assigned categories. Plays a leadership role with a cross-functional category team (that is,, with R&D, SCM, SQM and Service). Contributes to category profile, strategy and sourcing plan development. Supports efforts associated with: Category definition, Procurement and spend analysis, Supplier evaluation and appraisal, Market and competitive analysis, Stakeholder identification, Supplier relationship management. Participates in negotiations, developing and leveraging advanced negotiating capabilities. Participates in category review meetings with team and business partners to help ensure alignment and shared understanding of strategies, cost management objectives, supplier criteria and related considerations. Updates and maintains price and related information within the ERP system. Utilizes reporting tools to assist with control / realization of total cost objectives. Qualifications Required Qualifications Diploma or equivalent work experience required. Minimum of 2-4 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in Category Management. Good business English skills (Written and spoken).
