The Position Work at the forefront of pharmaceutical sciences Step into the role of a Senior or Principal Statistician, where you'll be a crucial part of our Global CMC Statistics team and contribute to our BioPharma network worldwide. You'll use your expertise to influence the entire biopharmaceutical production process, from development to life cycle. You'll work self-sufficiently with a diverse team of experts, collaborating across departments, advancing core topics and implementing our strategy for optimal statistical guidance and support. Tasks & responsibilities - In your new role you will be a statistical expert for the BioPharma network and provide the right statistical support covering statistical strategy, planning aspects, analyzing data, supporting decision making and providing consultation to partners on statistical topics. - You will drive the development of statistical concepts and processes as well as refining state-of-the-art statistical methods or data science techniques. - Moreover, you will act as strategical partner in inter-disciplinary teams and provide statistical support in collaboration with project teams or interfaces and establish collaboration with the corresponding network. - You will deliver high-quality statistical support and solutions to enable successful submissions or any other CMC related processes by knowing and applying the relevant health authority guidelines within our industry. - In addition, you will support dedicated core topics that require ongoing statistical support and improve the statistical excellence within these areas. Additional Tasks & responsibilities as Principal Statistician - You will take responsibility to define and implement strategies that continuously advance dedicated core topics requiring ongoing statistical support. - Furthermore, you will represent the area CMC Statistics in interdisciplinary meetings and with health authorities, customers, or similar entities. Requirements - Completed master studies in the field of statistics, mathematics, data science or comparable, preferably with PhD in the above mentioned professions - established professional experience, knowledge of relevant guidelines like EMA, FDA and ICH is of advantage - Profound knowledge of statistics, especially regression techniques, mixed effects modelling, etc. and the ability to apply those techniques appropriately in exploratory as well as in pivotal situations - Expertise in Bayesian Statistics, Design of Experiments (DoE) and/or Machine Learning techniques is of advantage - Very good programming skills, preferably in GNU-R - Excellent communication skills and high proficiency in written and spoken English, German language skills are beneficial Additional requirements as Principal Statistician - Several years of professional experience within the (bio-)pharmaceutical industry as well as knowledge of relevant guidelines like EMA, FDA and ICH - Advanced proficiency in statistics including experience in applied statistics within relevant industries Ready to contact us?
