Bosch Building Technologies is divided into the international product business and the regional system integration business. Currently, the three product areas of video systems, access control & intrusion detection systems and communication systems as well as the associated cross-divisional functions within the division are to be set up as an independent unit and then further developed as a sustainable core business by a new owner.
1. International and interdisciplinary cooperation: As Strategic Buyer / Category Manager Indirect Purchasing, you will be part of the new company to be set up in the future and thus contribute to a globally networked team of around 4300 colleagues operating in over 50 countries.
2. You will be responsible for the analysis of the category to be managed as well as the development, definition and implementation of the material field strategy in cooperation with the relevant internal business partners.
3. You will have responsibility in your category over the commercial aspects of supplier management such as preparing and conducting tenders, price negotiations and negotiating contracts with suppliers.
4. Global coordination in the assigned category / material fields are also part of your responsibilities.
5. You will be responsible for providing strategic support towards the regional purchasing teams to ensure strategy consistency.
6. Primary responsibility for IT & Development Services above a pre-defined value limit.
Qualifications
7. Education: completed university studies in business administration, industrial engineering or a comparable subject
8. Experience and Knowledge: many years of professional experience in indirect purchasing as well as experience in material field and supplier strategy; proven track record in achieving objectives and stakeholder management
9. Personality and Working Practice: passionate, flexible and performance oriented with a high level of resilience and assertiveness; strong team player with preference to work in international teams; self-motivated, structured and bring an entrepreneurial mindset; you have a high affinity for cross-departmental cooperation and international business
10. Languages: business fluent in written and spoken German and English
