About the Role
Our client offers a comprehensive suite of clean energy solutions, including generation, storage, and software. As a leader in advanced wind turbines, energy storage systems, and global energy asset management software, they are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Key Account Director to join their team.
In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, driving business growth, and ensuring the successful implementation of renewable energy solutions. This position requires exceptional communication skills, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of the renewable energy industry.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve sales targets and maximize revenue from key accounts in the renewable energy sector.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within client organizations.
* Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts and drive cross-selling and up-selling initiatives.
* Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, engineering, project management, and operations, to ensure seamless project delivery and exceptional customer service.
* Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to identify risks and opportunities.
* Conduct regular business reviews with key clients to assess satisfaction, address concerns, and identify areas for improvement.
* Prepare and present sales proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals in collaboration with the sales team.
* Monitor and analyze key account metrics, such as sales performance, customer satisfaction, and profitability, and take action to achieve targets.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing timely support.
* Collaborate with the marketing team to develop customized marketing materials and campaigns for key accounts.
* Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote solutions and expand the network of potential clients.
Qualifications and Expertise
* Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
* Proven experience (10+ years) as a Key Account Manager, Solution Manager, or in a similar sales role within the BESS/PV/Wind renewable energy industry.
* In-depth knowledge of the renewable energy sector, including solar, wind, and other emerging technologies.
* Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
* Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
* Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to understand technical aspects of renewable energy solutions and effectively communicate them to clients.
* Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Proactive approach to problem-solving and ability to handle challenging situations.
* Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients and attend industry events.
