Responsibilities:
* Leads the R&D department “Technologies and Platform” within the business-sector Neuro / Spine (BS NES), including the leadership of assigned Software development teams.
* Manage quality, budget and capacity planning for the department and its respective project portfolio.
* Develop the technology and platform strategy, its roadmaps for BS NES in alignment with strategic goals of MED R&D, responsible for assigned platform clusters.
* Develop and manage external development partners and project suppliers (goods, test houses, resources) with internal stakeholders.
* Understand customer and internal stakeholder needs and expectations and translate this knowledge into effective decisions.
Minimum Requirements:
* University degree in natural sciences or engineering, PhD is a plus.
* At least 5 years of experience in R&D development processes of comparable products.
* Experience in project and change management as well as agile product development, PM certification is a plus.
* At least 5 years of experience in managing project teams or R&D teams.
* Fluent in German and English.
* Act as a role model, develop, coach and trust employees.
