Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience. 5 years of experience in technical troubleshooting cloud infrastructures and coding/scripting in Python or Java. 5 years of experience in stakeholder management, SAP solution engineering, technical consulting, and technical leadership. Technical and functional experience with SAP BTP and the underlying Cloud Foundry stack. Experience with HANA Cloud (as database platform), Steampunk/BTP ABAP (as application platform). Experience with Kubernetes and specifically with SAP’s managed offering, Gardener. Preferred qualifications: Experience with infrastructure-as-code frameworks such as Terraform, Ansible. Experience with public clouds and cloud infrastructure including building, testing, and deploying cloud based services. Responsibilities Act as conduit between Google and SAP engineering and engage in direct collaboration with SAP’s different development teams. Guide SAP in the development and integration of cloud-native PaaS/SaaS solutions on Google Cloud, leveraging open-source and proprietary frameworks such as Kubernetes (Gardener), Cloud Foundry, Terraform, Ansible etc. Troubleshoot and mitigate complex issues based on deep understanding of both SAP’s software stack and cloud infrastructure. Validate the consistency of new technologies and its interoperability with SAP software by scoping validation proposals and performance tests, KPIs, and desired outcomes, and publishing whitepapers and technology assessments. Design and implement solutions, including writing scripts, executing tests and performing analysis on results, and work closely with engineering and product management teams across the globe to identify feature gaps, deficiencies, and bugs.
