Your role
As S&C Decarbonization Business Process Owner (m/f/d) you will be part of our Sustainability Team within our Scent & Care Business Unit. You act as the expert on Carbon Footprint across the BU – Fragrances, Aroma Chemicals & Cosmetic Ingredients. This role is responsible for the successful creation and implementation of the right tools and systems to ensure a success in our decarbonization program.
This Role is a fulltime position to be located in our Headquaters in Holzminden, Germany.
1. You make the connection between our data and calculations and the complex tool for decarbonization.
2. You connect end users to our system and help them navigate the tool.
3. You lead the assessment and analysis of carbon footprints across the lifecycle of products within S&C, from raw material sourcing to production and end-use.
4. You collaborate with R&D, production, and supply chain teams to integrate sustainable practices and eco-friendly technologies into product development and manufacturing processes.
5. You stay updated on trends, regulations, and innovations related to carbon footprint reduction in the chemical industry, particularly in fragrance and aroma chemicals.
6. You engage with stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and regulatory bodies, to promote sustainability initiatives and transparent reporting.
7. You prepare detailed reports, presentations, and communication materials for internal and external stakeholders on carbon reduction performance and progress.
About you
8. You successfully completed your University degree in environmental science, Chemical Engineering, Data Science or another relevant field.
9. You are a data oriented and structured mind to deal with vast amounts of data.
10. You have a strong knowledge of carbon accounting methodologies, tools (e.g., LCA software), and industry standards.
11. You have excellent analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex environmental data into actionable business strategies.
12. You have strong project management and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
13. You are fluent in business english and have a good command in another major language.
