Your role
As Research Technologist (REACH/NMR) (m/f/d) you will be part of our Data Science & Molecular Decoding Team consisting of 7 colleagues working together in our Global Headquarter in Holzminden, Germany.
As part of our Team you will be part of our team of 4 lab technicians that focus on R&D purposes in Molecular Decoding on a global level.
This requisition is a fulltime position to be located in Holzminden, Germany.
1. You provide substance identification dossiers with regards to substance identity for authorities and associations such as the ECHA (REACH), HSE (UK REACH), EFSA, FEMA and FDA in English language.
2. You run NMR and UV spectroscopy experiments and analyze NMR spectra.
3. You deliver structure elucidation of unknown compounds.
4. You check GC-MS, IR, and UV spectra regarding alignment with the proposed structure.
5. You collaborate with analytical experts for chromatography, isolation, spectroscopy and spectrometry.
6. You discuss the state of the dossier’s process, next steps and the respective results with the colleagues and stakeholders.
About you
7. You successfully completed your apprenticeship as a chemical laboratory technician or you have a bachelor’s degree in chemistry.
8. You are proficient in NMR structure elucidation. Ideally with experience in the flavor and fragrance chemistry.
9. You have a proactive and flexible mindset embracing creativity and digitalization.
10. You posses a strong skillset in communication and work in projects as well as the ability to manage tasks within agile environments using Kanban or Scrum.
11. You have knowledge of compounds that relate to food and aroma ingredients, their analysis and processing methods.
12. You are able to interpret GC, LC-MS, GC-MS, IR, UV datasets for substance identification and report creation and documentation for patents.
13. You are fluent in both German and English.
