About the LCSB The University of Luxembourg is an international research university with a distinctly multilingual and interdisciplinary character. The Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine (LCSB) is an interdisciplinary research centre of the University of Luxembourg. We conduct fundamental and translational research in the field of Systems Biology and Biomedicine in the lab, in the clinic and in silico. We focus on neurodegenerative processes and are especially interested in Alzheimer''s and Parkinson''s disease and their contributing factors. The LCSB recruits talented scientists from various disciplines: computer scientists, mathematicians, biologists, chemists, engineers, physicists and clinicians from more than 50 countries currently work at the LCSB. Your role In order to foster and further develop the research and outreach activities of the Research groups and their research projects the research actively engage in grants management. As team member of the LCSB financial controlling and grants team, you will work closely with the research groups, management team and controlling team of the LCSB. You will step into a dynamic hybrid role, leveraging your expertise in grants management and financial coordination to effectively support external projects. Your main activities are: Serve as contact point for researchers for information about funding possibilities and related procedures Assist academic staff in the preparation of applications for funding during the proposal, grant submission and grant preparation stage, budget planning as well as management of research projects including collaboration agreements and ethics Support the project owners to comply with terms and conditions of the different funding bodies and closely liaise with the LCSB controlling team regarding monitoring budgets, including financial reporting Support the preparation of reports (e.g. activity reports, external evaluation), dissemination of research activities in academia and society (e.g. activity reports of the research units) Keep internal records and ensure internal cooperation and communication within the IC, partner institutions and central administration, as well as with other research entities and funders Participate in meetings, info days, and other events related to the mission Contribute with the team involved to the implementation and improvement of the grant management processes and procedures Ensure that grants are pre reviewed, submitted and followed up after submission Support research management by collecting information and identifying needs concerning different funding sources in order to establish best practice policies and procedures Cooperation and communication with central Research Department, other research entities, projects, central services and external stakeholder Your profile The successful candidate is demonstrating a proactiv
