Our client is a global leader in the automotive industry. To strengthen their accounting team at their location in the Sauerland region, near Hagen and Wuppertal; they are looking for an experienced Accountant / "Bilanzbuchhalter" (m/f/d). Your Profile:
* Degree in Accounting or a related field
* At least 5 years of professional experience in accounting and tax
* Strong knowledge of HGB and IFRS
* Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
* Experience with SAP is a plus
* Fluency in German and English is mandatory
* Prior experience in the automotive industry is an advantage
Your Tasks:
* Ensure accurate and timely posting of invoices and bank statements
* Issue intercompany (IC) customer invoicing and recharge invoices
* Perform bank reconciliation and manage cash allocation
* Handle month-end activities, including payroll and accrual postings
* Maintain financial records according to IFRS and local GAAP (HGB)
* Prepare and submit VAT declarations and assist external tax consultants with other tax obligations
* Optimize accounting processes and ensure accurate monthly reporting
* Coordinate accounting teams across subsidiaries and oversee intercompany reconciliations
