Your Responsibilities: The Senior Manager of Commercial Operations (f/m/d) is responsible for managing the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process and optimizing Luna Innovations’ end-to-end order-to-remittance (O2R) process. This role ensures effective utilization of ERP systems, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and oversees performance tracking to enhance operational efficiency. Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) Management: • Own, manage, and continuously improve the S&OP process, ensuring clear communication and coordination across sales, operations, finance, supply chain, and customer success teams. • Facilitate regular S&OP meetings, document outcomes, and ensure accountability for action items. Order-to-Remittance (O2R) Optimization: • Streamline and enhance the O2R process from order intake through invoicing and cash collection. • Optimize contract administration, aligning commercial terms, pricing, and service-level agreements (SLAs) with organizational goals. • Collaborate with finance, sales, operations, and supply chain teams for seamless process integration. ERP System Utilization and Commercial Analytics: • Ensure effective utilization of ERP systems to support commercial processes and workflows. • Coordinate with IT to drive functional ERP improvements and resolve issues. • Utilize Salesforce, Power BI, or Tableau to analyze and optimize commercial processes. • Develop and maintain performance dashboards to track key commercial metrics, including O2R cycle times, invoicing accuracy, and cash flow effectiveness. Performance Tracking and Optimization: • Develop and monitor commercial operations metrics to provide insights into process efficiency and identify areas for improvement. • Implement strategies to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and ensure quality in operations. • Collaborate with department leads to achieve operational goals and maintain high-quality standards. Commercial Operations Improvement: • Identify opportunities to enhance commercial operations through process analysis and stakeholder collaboration. • Implement continuous improvement frameworks, such as Lean or Six Sigma, to streamline workflows and eliminate inefficiencies. • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging employee involvement and feedback. Commercial Execution & Risk Management: • Collaborate with legal, finance, and sales teams to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies. Cross-Functional Collaboration: • Act as a liaison between sales, finance, operations, and customer success teams, ensuring alignment and continuous improvement in commercial practices. • Foster a collaborative approach to enhance commercial efficiency and customer experience. Your Qualifications: • Completed business studies or comparable education • 10 years of experience in commercial operations, sales planning, or ERP-supported commercial process optimization, ideally in technology, manufacturing, or similar industries • Experience in functional ERP system utilization, Salesforce, and data analytics tools such as Power BI or Tableau • Fluency in German and English • Strong MS Office skills • Demonstrated success in optimizing commercial processes and facilitating cross-functional collaboration • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills • Proven ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives and implement new technologies to enhance operational efficiency Job Details: Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Work Location: Cologne, Mülheim, Home-Office work possibility https://lios.lunainc.com/
