ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES: The Electronics Technician Maintenance II position will perform all functions required to maintain and repair electronic TADSS and equipment Performs preventative maintenance IAW technical guidelines and equipment specifications ensuring proper functionality and safe operating conditions Applies advanced technical knowledge to solve routine electrical, mechanical, and computer issues by interpreting. manufacturers' manuals or similar documents Performs inventory of spare/repair parts IAW contractual guidelines Enters work order data in a timely and accurate manner into the management information system Applies basic and advanced technical knowledge to solve routine problems May supervise, provide direction/guidance, and check lower-level technicians’ work Ensuring that all paperwork and reports are completed in a timely and accurate manner Reads and interprets schematic drawings and diagrams required to perform maintenance Perform PMCS, troubleshooting and isolate faults Install various ground Training Engagement Systems (TES) on military vehicles to include ITAS-TESS, MILES IWS, MILES 2000, TVS, WESS, WITS, VTESS and CV-TESS Use spare/repair parts to repair faults IAW technical guidelines Research and select repair parts needed Capture and records accurate maintenance history ensuring unique corrective measures for work orders and repair are annotated into AWARE Apply basic technical knowledge to perform simple or routine tasks following detailed instructions, perform tasks as replacing components, wiring circuits, repairing simple electronic equipment Take test readings using common instruments such as digital multi-meters, signal generators, and oscilloscopes This position may require travel to other installations and other ATMP locations throughout Germany or Europe Other duties as assigned MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 3 - 5 years’ experience with electronics testing/troubleshooting Intermediate computer and networking skills Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Must be able to obtain/maintain a valid USAREUR driver’s license and On-Post driving privileges Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment Must be able to obtain a valid Blue Card, VISA/Work Permit as required by German Law Must be a High School Graduate or have a GED Must be able to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND CAPABILITIES: Excellent written and oral communications skills, attention to detail, strong organizational skills, computer proficiency, and the ability to work under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong analytical, problem-solving, customer service and decision-making skills Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel) JOB CONTEXT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
