Postdoc position in Structural Biology of Inflammation: Conduct research on inflammatory pathways, develop novel anti-inflammatory treatments, and contribute to the iFIT Cluster of Excellence.
We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoc to join our team in the Department of Medical Oncology and Pneumology at the University of Tübingen. As a member of the Andreeva lab, you will focus on structural and functional aspects of inflammatory pathways underlying various pathologies.
Your tasks will include:
* Performing molecular biology techniques (cloning, mutagenesis) and recombinant protein expression with purification methods
* Conducting protein biochemistry assays (SDS-PAGE, Western Blotting, fluorescence / activity assays) and cryo-EM workflows (grid preparation, data collection, model building)
* Executing cell culture and cell-based assays, including stable cell line generation and viability testing
* Analyzing experimental data and interpreting results for scientific reporting
* Writing and presenting scientific findings clearly and effectively
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A PhD in molecular biology, biochemistry, life sciences or a related discipline
* Hands-on experience in molecular / cellular biology and protein biochemistry
* Experience in structural biology is desirable
* High levels of self-motivation and ability to work both independently, as well as in a team
* A strong interest in structural biology and immunity
* Excellent organization and communication skills
* Fluency in English (written and spoken)
