Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the execution of medium-size and/or complex to large projects. Each day, you will ensure that all related activities are performed in accordance with procedures, regulations, standards, specifications, and targets. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting the oversight of team development and process improvement to continually increase the effectiveness of project execution, especially in smaller units. The work model for the role is: #LI-Hybrid This role is contributing to the Business Area Robotics & Discrete Automation, Business Line Automotive in Germany. Main stakeholders are local Operations, Execution teams, Sales, and interfaces to global ABB locations. You will be mainly accountable for: •Leading the project team, establishing the project execution approach, and overseeing project hand-over, execution planning, monitoring and control activities for internal and external resources to accomplish all project goals. •Providing leadership and active involvement in continuous improvement and simplification. •Supporting local Sales and Tendering through early involvement in tenders. •Driving the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out, and acknowledgment by the customer, all in accordance with the contract. Qualifications for the role
* You are skilled in working with modern project management tools and methodologies, and the automotive and automation market.
* You have several years of experience in project management, including successful leading of complex automation projects for automotive customers.
* Ab enhanced knowledge of paint applications in the automotive industry and a project management certificate would be beneficial.
* You are innovative around communication, problem solving and customer focus, and you are passionate about a structured and independent way of working.
* Degree in electrical / mechanical engineering or automation / control technology.
* You are at ease communicating in German and English.
