Summary About the position: This position is located at the Ramstein Youth Program, Ramstein AB, Germany. Plans, organizes, implements, and provides specific instruction and training including for either karate or gymnastics for youth (ages 2 through 18) at Ramstein Air Force Bases. Responsibilities Plans, organizes, implements, and provides specific instruction and training for karate or gymnastics (ages 2 through 18) at Ramstein Air Force Bases. Offers instruction at various levels of experience, from beginner to advanced. Total program must meet current Air Force Program requirements. Coordinates planning and scheduling of all classes, programs, and events with instructional coordinator. Maintains accurate attendance records of participants in said programs. Acts as a liaison between the youth center and the participants/parents to enforce and explain operating procedures, class policies, and payment policies of the program. Meets with parents quarterly or on an as-needed basis to discuss the current progress of their child. Responsible for setting up and taking down all support equipment at least 15 minutes prior to and after scheduled class time. Opens classroom to parents on request. Develops specific curriculum guidelines for a particular program. Assists in training of subordinate instructors/staff in a particular program to ensure staff are meeting curriculum guidelines. Aides the coordinator of instructional classes in scheduling and event programming for at least one special youth related event, recital, or tournament per year. Performs other duties as assigned. Certification through an associated professional organization is preferred. Affiliation with local, national or similar organization for cross-cultural experiences is preferred. Must be able to lift 40 pounds or more and stand for long periods of time. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.
