Based in the Hannover area, we are looking for a Senior Exploration Geophysicist who will be a key member of the German Geosciences team, responsible for the integration, interpretation and assessment of all subsurface data, in order to develop a comprehensive knowledge of the German portfolio and to mature growth opportunities.
What you will do
1. Deliver high quality subsurface Geophysical evaluations (including well ties, 2D/ 3D structural interpretation, time to depth conversion, seismic reservoir characterization/QI methods) through subsurface data integration and analysis (well logs, core, seismic, dynamic data)
2. Develop comprehensive knowledge of relevant German Exploration Licences to identify new exploration opportunities, define licence maturation plans and input to long range exploration plans
3. Detailed prospect analysis, volumetrics, uncertainty and risk assessments.
4. Provide support to Production Assets and generating development opportunities as required
5. Recommend drilling opportunities while ensuring their risk profile are in line with company strategy
6. Drive the maturation of drilling proposals; including documentation, monitoring of operations, analysing results.
7. Participate in Technical assurance reviews and partner meetings
8. Manage external projects or consultants as required, including e.g. seismic processing, acquisition
9. Review, evaluate and bid for Farm-in or Business Development opportunities as required in Europe
10. Assess open acreage and recommend to apply for new Exploration licences
What you will bring
11. Geoscience graduates, preferably with a Masters;
12. High technical proficiency in Geology with 10+ years industry experience
13. Strong background in Exploration required and experience in development projects
14. Experience in seismic processing, acquisition and reservoir characterization (AVO/QI)
15. Proficiency in English is required, knowledge of German a strong plus
16. International experience would be preferred, with experience of German basins
17. A strong team player, a good communicator who is self-confident and has the ability to take the initiative and show a creative approach
