Description ArcelorMittal Tailored Blanks is a smaller, independent, yet very dynamic division within the larger ArcelorMittal group. They supply the automotive sector throughout Europe with a highly automated machinery park. They produce laser-welded steel sheet components that are later integrated into cars to make them lighter, stronger, and more cost-effective. We are looking for a new, driven colleague to join us. Responsibilities: As a Business Development Manager, you will actively seek out new customers and market opportunities in the automotive tailored blank market. You'll act as trusted ambassador, informing customers and prospects about new products and industry trends. The Business Development team count 5 employees and reports to the Commercial Director. As Business Development Manager you will be based in Stuttgart, Cologne, Luxembourg, Liège or Uckange and you will have to be willing to travel frequently to these between these locations. Business development: Seek new customers and business opportunities in the automotive tailored blank market (welded and unwelded blanks). Co-develop solutions on running and developing vehicles with the local design team to promote the advantages of tailored welded blanks based on cost reduction, weight reduction and crash management. Quotation: Check inquiries for technical feasibility. Define the production process in cooperation with all stakeholders. Calculate and submit price offer. Negotiate contract. Program management: Liaise between customer and internal stakeholders in order to assure a successful SOP fulfilling all requirements. Define milestones and timeline. Coordinate with project management team on the development of prototypes and mass production projects. Trouble management on roadblocks. Manage changes. Business intelligence: Closely monitor changes in prices, competition and customers' requirements. Participate in conferences and trade shows. Customer intimacy: Build up good relationships with customers. Health & Safety: Follow health & safety procedures. Notify health & safety risk. Profile: Master’s degree in STEM or Business/Management from a University or a Business School. Relevant experience in a similar position (5 years of experience). Stress resistance, convincing power, problem analysis, planning & organization, self-confidence, resilience, discipline, communication skills. Candidate will show pro-activity, dynamism, sense of service, stakeholder/results orientation and good communication skills. Flexible in adapting to changing environments. Fluent in English and German. Any other European language is considered as an asset (French, Spanish, Dutch).
