Position Description
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
1. Work closely with forces to provide tailored information to enhance combat effectiveness.
2. Provide military skills and knowledge in combination with other technical skills to ensure that optimized war/contingency plans are developed/refined/exercised.
3. Develop training plans and/or train US forces in one or more functional areas/general combat skills.
4. Evaluate trainees and training plans to ensure training objectives are met.
5. Provide technical services to support research and analysis; operations; exercises, design, development, testing and evaluation.
6. Provide analytical support, technical support, and services for planning, preparing, rehearsing, conducting, and assessing computer-aided joint and combined training events and exercises.
7. Support Joint Exercise Program (JEP) planning conferences; scenario development and synchronization workshops; joint simulations event tests; joint exercise control group operations; facilitated after-action reviews; senior leader seminars; interoperability workshops; table-top exercises; compilation and reporting of joint doctrine lessons learned.
8. Support multinational engagement efforts, to include support of other Department of Defense (DoD) and non-DoD entities.
9. Execute the Joint Training System (JTS) to produce trained individuals, staffs and units.
10. Use the Joint Training Information Management System (JTIMS) in conjunction with the Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS) and the Joint Lessons Learned Information System (JLLIS), to identify, collect, analyze, store, and disseminate the data required to support implementation of the JTS and sustain a command joint training program.
11. Gain thorough knowledge of organizational mission, functions, command relationships, issues, goals, objectives, and administrative/support processes.
12. Ensure administrative actions are processed in a timely manner.
13. Review proposed directives to ensure conformance with command guidance.
14. Assess existing doctrine/procedures to ensure conformance with organizational objectives, Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
15. Complete administrative/coordination activities for Joint Doctrine and Joint TTPs.
Position Requirements
16. Master's degree in a related field and 3 years specialized experience; OR Bachelor's degree in a related field and 6 years specialized experience; OR 10 years of specialized experience.
17. Master's Degree or Graduate of an advanced military officer-training course (preferred)
18. A minimum of six years of experience with US Department of Defense Program.
19. Experience may be gained in any combination of these areas: Management, systems engineering analysis of workflow organization, to support the management of network, modeling, and simulation systems; Military experience with management of financial contracts, or system analysis techniques, or test and evaluation procedures, or test support requirements of these areas; military experience with management of financial activities or contracts, or system analysis techniques, or test and evaluation procedures, or test support requirements, or military communications, or DoD Program Management.
20. Minimum three years of Joint experience or two years of Joint Training and Exercise experience at the MAJCOM or Combatant Command level.
