Since 2009, Statkraft has been operating ten hydropower plants (nine run-of-river and one pumped-storage), five gas power stations (of which two are in cold-reserve and one is a shared asset) and two biomass power plants in Germany.
In Hürth, Statkraft operates two gas and steam turbine power plants with a total installed capacity of 1,310 megawatts. The site also serves as the technical regional headquarters for all power plants in Germany.
Job Description
* Leading a team of experts in technology, maintenance, risk and project management, and claim management.
* Further development of employees and transformation of the organization, including motivating employees, fostering commitment, and enhancing job satisfaction.
* Technical support for German power plants, including gas-fired, pumped storage, biomass, run-of-river, wind, and storage batteries.
* Project management of maintenance and investment projects at the sites.
* Development of maintenance concepts considering operational risks and operational excellence.
* Project knowledge in mechanics, electrical engineering, construction, control technology, and HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) in power plants.
* Documentation of technical documents for the power plants.
* Technical reporting, such as availability metrics.
* Responsibility for auditing the management system.
Qualifications
* Business-relevant degree at university level or equivalent knowledge and experience.
* Strong understanding of power generation and extensive experience in the operation and maintenance of power plants or similar industries.
* Proven experience in bringing new assets into operation and managing projects, particularly in outages and upgrades.
* Experience in operational excellence and health and safety leadership.
* Proven managerial experience, ideally within an international and intercultural organization.
* Demonstrated entrepreneurial thinking with a track record of improving business and operational performance.
* Ability to motivate and ensure effective cooperation between different disciplines and departments.
* Fluent in German and English, or the ability to achieve fluency quickly.
* Enjoys international cooperation and willing to travel for business purposes.
