Your responsibilities
* You will report directly to the CEO and manage around 100 employees at several locations (Hamburg, Bremen, Lübeck, Dresden as well as Portugal, Poland and Albania) in five teams.
* You will take on a holistic management role in which you will contribute not only your technical expertise but also your commercial knowledge.
* You will be responsible for the overall architecture of our software solutions, both front-end and back-end.
* You will also ensure that the development for project and product developments is implemented on time, on budget and to the required quality.
* You will work closely with the management team. In particular, you will liaise closely with the sales team, advising them on technical feasibility and resource requirements in the bidding process, for example.
* You will decisively drive the transformation process of our solution portfolio towards the gradual introduction of a multi-client capable, service-orientated architecture based on Java and PHP services.
* You will also continuously optimise the (agile) software development process.
* You support the qualification and further development of your employees and create space for innovation. By fostering a positive culture, you also create the basis for attracting and selecting the best talent.
Your qualifications
* You have a university degree (Master's/Diploma) in an information science or engineering specialisation.
* You also have many years of professional and management experience in agile software development.
* You are characterised by a background in a B2B environment.
* You act confidently at system / architecture level.
* You are also familiar with Java and ideally PHP.
* You lead your international team with intercultural sensitivity. You have a very good command of English. Knowledge of German is desirable, but not necessary.
