The department „ Student Life and Support” invites interested candidates to apply for the next possible date as a Residential Life Advisor (m/f/d) (Full-time; 38.5 hours/week; limited for 24 months) The Residential Life Teams in our campus community strive to create inclusive environments which translate the overall philosophy and objectives of the Student Life and Support department into a practical and meaningful set of services, activities and programs for students living within the residential colleges. Your responsibilities: Administration Manage the day-to-day operations of the residential college, including the college office, college facilities and common areas Maintain administrative and informational records Keep track of the operational budget and be responsible for purchasing supplies Supervising Student Staff and Volunteers Interview, select, train, supervise, and evaluate Student Engagement Assistants Provide development opportunities for student staff and volunteers Community and Student Development Lead the implementation of the community program of activities promoting student engagement and participation Provide leadership in creating a community that supports students of underrepresented and diverse populations Attend college events and activities Work with the RLMs to contribute to the development and facilitation of the residential programs Safety and Security Provide crisis management support and intervention, which may be required on weekends, at night, etc. Maintain appropriate communication with Incident Response Team, Resident Life Managers, and other emergency response support members of the campus community Report maintenance, repair needs and preventative maintenance projects to facilities and Residential Life Managers Work together with housing on room allocation processes, room switches and contribute to Housing policy development Your qualifications: Bachelor's degree Experiences of working with international students in a university setting Previous residence life experience is preferred but not essential Administration support experience Ability to use MS Office Supervisory experience desired We offer: Flexible working hours for work-life balance Option for remote work Individual onboarding, support, and development planning Corporate fitness with EGYM Well Pass (formerly Qualitrain) In collaboration with Deutsche Dienstrad – Lease a company bike, whether it's a bicycle, road bike, or e-bike, for both private and business use.
