Job Description At Danfoss Climate Solutions, we are currently looking for an Engineer I (m/f/d) IoT, Data & Connectivity based in Hamburg. The Service Development team within Danfoss Climate Solutions is a leading supplier to the refrigeration and air-conditioning industries with high ambitions to deliver even better digital services to both existing and new customers. Job Responsibilities We are strengthening our Team for IoT Cloud solutions to take our existing service business to the next level. In this role, you will be the expert for cloud-to-device communication & data integration topics to our Scrum Teams that are transforming our existing platforms to state-of-the-art cloud-based services. You are expected to drive the development of our own Device-SDK and investigate the possibilities to extend our 3 rd -party device support. This includes knowledge of ingestion layer in the IoT stack. Furthermore, you will have the chance to build-up an industry wide view of device capabilities & technologies being used. This is a key-role for the success of the platform, as you are at the core of our services – the Devices. This role has a strong focus on the interface between the embedded-software world and the cloud-based application layer. The key tasks will involve: Design, Development & Maintenance of the Danfoss Device-SDK Analysis & Documentation of 3rd-party device communication patterns Development of specific components to ingest & normalize data Extending the Danfoss-Data-Ontology Acting as a consultant to the Product-Management & Sales Teams for technology related topics Contribution to the roadmap of 3rd-party integrations Sharing of best practices & knowledge within the Engineering group Background & Skills At Danfoss, we believe that a diverse and inclusive workplace fosters creativity, innovation, and a broader perspective in decision-making.
