NRL are seeking an MEP Lead for a major Life Sciences construction project in Munich, Germany. Due to a portfolio of projects in the pipeline, our client is seeking an individual on a permanent basis to be based near Munich. The role of an MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Lead within a construction company is multifaceted and crucial for successful project delivery - please see below for more information on the role.
Responsibilities
1. Project Oversight :
As part of the project management team, the MEP Lead reports to the Project Director.Responsible for all aspects related to building services, including MEP systems.Ensures day-to-day duties are performed professionally and efficiently to support ongoing project progress.Manages the MEP Engineering team, which typically includes the Lead Mechanical (MEP) Engineer, Electrical Engineer, and MEP Inspectors
2. Technical Guidance and Support :
Provides technical guidance and direction to cross-functional project teams.Ensures adherence to company policies, standards, and inspection procedures.Supports MEP consulting services, which are critical for construction-related projects.Coordinates with architects, engineers, and construction teams to integrate MEP systems into overall project designs.
3. Project Delivery :
Takes overall responsibility for MEP project delivery.Provides leadership, motivation, and guidance to MEP teams.Manages MEP start-up, control of live energies, and safety files.Ensures seamless handover with building systems performing to client satisfaction.Promotes the company’s brand and maintains relationships with key stakeholders
4. Qualifications and Experience :
Requires over significant of experience managing large-scale and complex MEP an academic qualification related to Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.Membership in industry-related professional institutionsTraining in health and safety management, planning, programming, and project management
