The AGE Servicing Section is responsible for performing unscheduled and scheduled maintenance (including testing, modifications, refurbishing, and TCTOs) on all support equipment and vehicles assigned to the squadron as well as inspecting all support equipment and vehicles assigned to the squadron. The incumbent is responsible for maintaining Aerospace Ground Equipment, including Diesel Engines, Gas Turbines, Electrics and Electronics, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Pneumatics and Hydraulics, and Aircraft Specialist Support Vehicles within the Aircraft & AGE Branch. To find out more about the background, please visit our Homepage https\://awacs.nato.int/ How to apply\: Video THE ROLE The incumbent's duties are: Performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, servicing, inspection, testing, modification, evaluation, repair, replacement and adjustment of Aerospace Ground Equipment and their related tools. Performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, servicing, inspection, testing, modification, evaluation, repair, replacement and adjustment of Specialized Aircraft Support vehicles, including various Aircraft Tow Tractors, Aircraft Cargo Loaders, Cherry Pickers and Universal Maintenance Stands and their related tools. Maintaining and scheduling of inspection records. Providing technical expertise on assigned equipment and assisting with training programs. Performing equipment changes, proposals, modifications, Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTOs), etc. Evaluates maintenance inspections on scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, and TCTO’s (signing off RED X’s); Operating computers and programs for maintaining inspection and maintenance records; Functioning as technical order publications and consolidated tool kit monitor. Operating motor vehicles, support and test equipment; Conducting on-the-job (OJT) and advises newly assigned personnel. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Good working knowledge of Aerospace Ground Equipment systems maintenance to include Diesel Engines, Gas Turbines, Electrics and Electronics, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Pneumatics and Hydraulics, and Aircraft Specialist Support Vehicles acquired through at least 3 years related, current professional experience; Secondary education and completed basic vocational training in airfield support equipment or Aerospace Ground Equipment maintenance with at least 3 years post related, current professional experience; The work both oral and written, in this post and in this Headquarters as a whole, is conducted mainly in English therefore sufficient English proficiency is essential; Basic knowledge of Standard Automatic Data Processing (ADP) is required. THE FOLLOWING WOULD BE CONSIDERED AS AN ADVANTAGE Previous NATO assignment; Experience working in an international / military environment; Driving License equivalent to European Class B; Certification to maintain and servicing refrigeration.
