We are an internationally operating architectural lighting design consultancy with offices in Australia and Germany. We are seeking a dedicated Studio Manager to join our dynamic team and lead our administrative operations in Berlin. This position is offered ona part-time base (25-30 hours per week).
Tasks
Role Overview:
You bring several years of work experience in an administrative management role in either architecture or a related field. As studio manager, you guide all administrative processes of the studio with its small staff and enable the team to focus on creative production by ensuring the smooth running of the office. We value proactive, organized individuals who are willing to cultivate a positive and inclusive work culture. An interest in design management is a plus, and fluency in both English and German language is a must for this position. You are required to hold a valid work visa for Germany.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage office administration, including contracting service providers, procurement of office supplies, and coordination of maintenance.
- Handle HR administration tasks, such as contractual and immigration matters; organizations and administration of CPD activities.
- Take on some financial management tasks: preparatory bookkeeping, invoice & salary payments, office expenses management.
- Support the Design Team Leader in supervising and guiding team members, coordinating activities with and for the team, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
- Coordinate travel bookings and VISA arrangements as needed.
- Basic IT coordination: network, hardware, software, coordination of external IT service providers
Personal Profile
- Demonstrated experience as a head of office or studio manager, preferably in architecture or a related field.
- Organised, well structured, self-motivated and proactive.
- Possess a positive and diplomatic demeanour.
- Able to work independently while reporting to the finance manager abroad.
Requirements
- Fluency in both English and German language is a must for this position.
- You hold a valid work visa for Germany.
- An interest in design management is a plus.
