Within its Legal office at the Central administration, the University of Luxembourg is looking for a Legal advisor. The Legal Advisor will join a dynamic and collaborative team and report to the Team Leader.

Your role
Provide legal advice and support for all types of legal documents and contracts but in particular for public procurement related files and commercial contracts. Ensure the development of legal documentation and preparation of contracts, in accordance with legal regulations.
Contribute to projects related to legal activities. Contribute to decision making, add value to the organization and facilitate the achievement of objectives as well as safeguard the University's legal position and reputation; ensure legal compliance.
Your Tasks:
Liaising with and assisting the University services and departments, as well as the faculties and interdisciplinary centers, in relation with their legal needs. In particular:
* Drafting, negotiating and reviewing a broad range of legal documents and agreements, related mainly to public procurement contracts, commercial contracts, academic, service agreements, and also research, collaboration, licensing, material transfer agreements, NDAs, etc
* Providing legal advice to University stakeholders especially on matters concerning public procurement law, commercial contracts, and including academic and research agreements
* Analyzing and verifying potential risks, proposing solutions
* Liaising with other University services to provide all-rounded advice on projects, in particular working in close contact with the colleagues in charge of procurement, academic affairs, students affairs, finance, data protection, tax, human resources, technology transfer, etc
* Advising on different fields of expertise: public procurement, provision of services, academic affairs, intellectual property, state aid, public research funding, etc
* Contributing to the development of the University's policies, procedures and overarching projects
Your profile
* Master's degree in law or equivalent
* At least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar position
* Excellent written communication skills in English and French. German would be a strong advantage
* Solid experience in public procurement law and contracts law; specialization in Intellectual Property Law is an advantage
* Specialization in Intellectual Property Law is an advantage
* Excellent communication and organisational skills with attention to details and accuracy
* Team player, able to work in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment, capable of coping with pressure
* Ability to work in an autonomous and proactive manner
