We are 50Hertz – one of the four transmission systemoperators (TSO) in Germany. Together with the Belgian electricitygrid operator Elia (Brussels), we form the internationally activeElia Group. At 50Hertz, over 2,100 employees ensure thatelectricity flows over long distances reliably, with minimal loss,and optimally managed. As a TSO, we play a central role in theimplementation of the energy transition from a technical andeconomic perspective, acting as a facilitator. Our goal is tointegrate 100 percent renewable energy into the grid and systemsecurely and affordably by 2032.
