Job Title: Financial Accountant
We are a leading provider of processing and packaging technology, seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join our team in Waiblingen, Germany.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for group legal entities, ensuring timely and accurate submission according to IFRS and German GAAP (HGB).
The role involves supporting entities, providing advice to stakeholders from an accounting and process perspective, and driving improvements to accounting processes.
Your Responsibilities:
* Prepare financial statements for group legal entities in accordance with IFRS and German GAAP (HGB)
* Support entities and provide advice to stakeholders on accounting and process matters
* Improve accounting processes and implement solutions for optimizing and harmonizing processes
* Act as the point of contact for assigned units, auditors, tax advisors, authorities, and other internal and external stakeholders
Your Profile:
* Master's degree in Business Administration with a focus on Finance, Accounting, Auditing, Tax, or a similar field, combined with several years of relevant professional experience in Accounting functions
* Strong knowledge of HGB and IFRS accounting standards, and ideally (German) tax law
* Excellent analytical skills, high level of engagement, and independent approach to work
* Comprehensive experience with SAP R/3 in the FI module
* Perception of changes due to increasing digitalization as opportunities to actively contribute and share ideas
* Proficient in English, both written and spoken, and comfortable in an international environment. Good German language skills required
* Excellent teamwork skills, reliable, and results-oriented mindset
* Possess a permanent work permit valid for Germany. The position is based in Waiblingen, Germany. Relocation expected for applicants outside of Germany
