ZEISS started a large strategic initiative to leverage our capabilities to bring labor automation solutions to high-end greenhouses, with an initial focus on robotics. We offer Interaction with a dynamic team, at the interface between robotics, camera vision & machine learning Gain hands-on experience in robotics with state-of-the-art prototypes tested under real-world conditions Experience the confluence of science and business Option for subsequent master thesis Your role Integrate and evaluate robotic prototypes in both simulation and real-world environments, ensuring seamless functionality and performance Develop and implement strategies for robotic arm manipulation Evaluate and upgrade the prototypes following test campaigns in greenhouses under varying conditions Support overall R&D activities, discuss & challenge new ideas Your profile You are enrolled in a Master’s program in Robotics, Mechatronics or comparable subject and have excellent results Ideally, you have prior experience with the Robot Operating System (ROS).
