About the job We’re seeking a Global Strategic Account Manager to join our Sales organization in Frankfurt, Germany. In this pivotal role, you will oversee one of our most valued clients in the banking sector. Your primary mission will be to nurture and expand our key partnership across core business areas such as risk management, regulatory compliance, advanced analytics, and digital transformation initiatives. With a robust and long-standing relationship within the banking sector SAS is poised to deepen its engagement in untapped areas. Your expertise will be critical in driving upcoming contract renewals, forging long-term partnerships, and unlocking new growth opportunities. We’re looking for an innovative and customer-obsessed GAM who thrives on building authentic client relationships. Equipped with 40 years of analytics excellence and innovation, you’ll lead with passion and purpose, helping our account to solve complex challenges while driving the adoption of SAS’s world-class solutions. As a Global Account Manager – Banking Sector, you will: Develop and execute a multi-year rolling strategic account plan with the extended account team to meet or exceed customer objectives and SAS revenue goals. Establish and maintain trusted, multi-level relationships within the client organization, with a focus on Executive and C-Level engagement. Lead, coach, and align the matrix sales team to deliver exceptional results, drive revenue growth, and maximize performance. Identify and develop new revenue opportunities across the customer’s value chain, demonstrating strategic insight and transformational sales capabilities. Collaborate with Alliance Partners and internal teams to elevate SAS’s strategic positioning and jointly pursue opportunities. Manage high-risk escalation issues, balancing customer satisfaction and SAS interests. Align post-sales teams with the strategic account plan to ensure successful solution implementation and long-term customer success. Essential qualifications: Proven track record of selling complex software solutions and services to both business and IT stakeholders. Proven ability to address banking sector challenges, particularly within risk, compliance, and digital innovation. Experience in managing global accounts and creating multi-year strategic account plans. Strong leadership skills to orchestrate and motivate cross-functional teams toward shared goals.
