In this pivotal role, the Head of HR will oversee the following functions:
1. Performance & Recognition: Executing and evolving our performance management and recognition programs to foster a high-performance culture.
2. Talent & Business Relations: Serving as a strategic partner to business leaders, providing HR guidance and support to align talent strategies with business objectives.
3. Talent Acquisition: Leading the full-cycle recruitment process to attract and hire top-tier candidates who embody our company values.
4. Talent Development: Creating and delivering learning and development programs to enhance employee skills, foster career growth, and prepare employees for future challenges.
5. Talent Analytics & Tools: Leveraging data-driven insights and HR technology solutions to optimize talent strategies, streamline processes, and enhance employee experience.
How you’ll make an impact:
1. Leadership: Lead trivago’s HR strategy by aligning talent initiatives with the company’s overall strategic direction, while cultivating a high-performing HR team that promotes a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
2. Strategic Advisor: Serve as a trusted advisor to the executive team, providing expert guidance on all HR-related matters, including organizational design, talent management, and employee relations.
3. Culture Champion: Champion a positive and inclusive company culture, fostering employee engagement, and ensuring a caring and supportive work environment.
4. Talent Acquisition and Development: Oversee talent acquisition efforts to attract top-tier candidates and drive talent development programs to foster career growth and prepare employees for future challenges.
5. HR Excellence: Manage HR operations, ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations, maintaining accurate HR records, and implementing HR best practices.
What you'll need to thrive:
1. Proven track record in senior HR leadership roles, preferably with experience in digital and international companies.
2. Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to inspire and motivate HR professionals.
3. Strategic thinker with solid analytical capabilities, able to interpret people and organizational data to develop actionable HR strategies and clear objectives.
4. Technical acumen and comfort embracing new technologies – such as AI and automation – to transform HR practices and enhance organizational effectiveness.
5. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective relationship-building across all organizational levels.
6. Extensive understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
7. Excellent proficiency in both written and spoken English for clear communication with international teams and external stakeholders.
