Description Customer CTO The Customer CTO, as part of the Office of CTO, is a senior and especially broad customer-facing technical leader and is essential to the relationship between the most important customers and Oracle. The CTO acts as a liaison between the needs of the customer, the solutions and services that Oracle may bring to bear to deliver value. Provides leadership within Oracle across the various lines of technology business to ensure Oracle’s value offerings are feasible, consistent, effective and aligned to the customer need. Overview: This role operates at account level providing beyond a single opportunity building a technology strategy that delivers against the customers long-term goals. You will collaborate with Account Software Engineers, Account Cloud Engineers and Enterprise Technology Architects, working on building Ground-breaking innovative end-to-end solutions such as technical design, platform adoption, dedicated regions, alloy, AI and data platform solutions to deliver success, together with a business capability roadmap to deliver business change, In the strategic aspect of the relationship, you will work closely building trusted relationships with the CIO, Chief Architect, CTO and business leader - working alongside architecture or innovation board building a strong strategic solutions and being at the forefront of the decision making. This is a leadership position within Oracle and the key role here is to bring together the disparate threads of technology related people, services and products into a cohesive solution. A large-scale Oracle solution will bring together a wide bill of materials. The CTO can be deployed to any account in EMEA at the discretion of Technology leaders. You will lead on re-use through the collection of these large-scale designs and promoting within Oracle. This includes not only direct re-use in future opportunities, but also the use of those solutions in business development, services proposition development, and future product direction. Hence direct interfacing into Oracle Development is critical. The Customer CTOs will extend the scope of the region’s influence, through to setting Oracle strategy methodology and engagement models. Customer CTO is responsible for ensuring that any findings gained whilst working with the customer are fed back into the CTO content library and will have a broad network of contacts within and outside Oracle and is encouraged to have a significant public presence through social media, external publication and participation at events and conferences. What You’ll Do : Support account teams in large-scale ground-breaking and innovative opportunities. Support “Inspire” activities in accounts to generate customer interest Work in collaboration with local account teams and a broad range of other Oracle LoBs Exercise creativity, independent judgment and business insight in selecting methods and techniques to design non-routine and very sophisticated business solutions using Oracle products and technology to meet customer needs. Interact with all roles at customer – including CFO, CIO, CTO, IT Architects, business leaders, technical staff and business representatives. Conduct repeatable strategy, architecture, roadmap and planning workshops. Provide assessment of current state and recommendation of future state. Provide roadmap and migration methodology and identify quick wins. Define, develop and evolve standards and principles. Provide non-routine and complex statements of work, work breakdown structure and/or level of effort and staff plans. Responsible for transitioning deal knowledge to implementation team. Leads the solution design aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high quality and integrated cross-domain business solutions. Identify and promote key business and technology benefits of adoption. Advise on organizational impact of solutions. Positions Oracle as “the transformation partner” through consulting and wider services capability Play an active role as part of the technology community. Remain fully aware of relevant programs and assets from Oracle worldwide. Remain aware of all relevant product developments and references – both at Oracle and at competitors. Required Skills/Experience What You’ll Bring: University Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Sciences or similar IT related fields Extensive background as CTO or equivalent experience Validated technical expertise PaaS, IaaS and Digital Transformation related topics Holistic knowledge of cloud solutions and respective use-cases Knowledge of Oracle solutions would be ideal, but not a must Knowledge of architecture frameworks like e.g. TOGAF, IAF, DYA and Oracle’s OADP/OEAF.
