We are seeking you to become a leading and inspiring part of a dedicated production team. You are responsible to run a department consisting of four Sendzimir Cold Rolling Mills and two Skin Pass Mills. As part of the Krefeld Operations leadership team, you act on our must-win battles – especially growth through productivity is at our core local strategy.
What to expect:
* You run the show by ensuring the daily production – meeting demand on time and in budget, focussing on customer quality needs and optimized production flows to the downstream areas. You are in control and on top of actual data, ready to intervene, flexibly use professional methods to seek solutions and implement corrective actions to stay on track.
* You innovate and continuously improve your functional area and connected process steps. That means ensuring availability and operational readiness of the plant in a holistic manner. It also requires your intense collaboration skills to make full use of the operator-technical know-how in the context of large-scale projects. Rational and prioritized use of resources taking into account cross-team maintenance capacities is a prerequisite.
* You control and communicate as part of the operational management team. As a leader you develop budgets, track and steer performance of all relevant KPIs for your area of responsibility: consumption, production and maintenance cost, deliveries, people just to name a few. You independently initiate corrections in case of deviations against budget and forecasts as well as coordinate interfaces proactively.
* You feel responsible to independently initiate cost reduction measures, support R&D activities and guide spend reduction of auxiliary, operating and consumable materials.
* You lead a team of 90 employees in an empathetic and motivational way. The focus on achieving our common goals is noticeable. You develop, coach and support your employees as well as stimulate appropriate disciplinary actions in close cooperation with Human Resources to create and inspire an appreciative, encouraging yet demanding working culture.
What you bring along:
* A successfully completed engineering (master) degree or equivalent qualification
* Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience and 2 years of team leadership experience
* Business acumen and good communication and collaboration skills
* Good analytical skills – additionally a background as a Six Sigma black belt or green belt would be a benefit
