Role description:
We are looking for experienced and technically proficient candidates passionate about continued expansion of Arcadis service offerings within the Federal sector and specifically focused on OCONUS military construction design and engineering. Working with Market Sector and Account Leads, you will drive the strategic expansion of our Government & Civic A/E Design work based on your experience and relationships, develop winning client and pursuit strategies, provide technical input into successful project and program scopes, interact directly with clients regarding both existing and potential future projects, and engage both our internal client development organization and engineering team. This position is a seller/doer model with goals relating to long term strategic sector planning, opportunity identification, and value proposition creation as well as technical excellence and project involvement. You will share knowledge of design within the Federal sector with the wider design team, serve as a key point of contact with our client development organization, and work hand-in-hand with clients to tangibly transform the volume and quality of work performed in this arena.
Role accountabilities:
1. Account Leadership for strategic clients, particularly USACE Europe District, driving overall growth in client account plan bookings, gross margin, and collections to meet or exceed planned targets
2. Manage client management practices by aligning opportunities with firm's credential, business, and growth objectives and strategies
3. Collaborate with Government Market Leader to establish yearly KPIs that are focused on client engagement
4. Create and own the short and long term strategies for Arcadis offerings including targeted visioning, market opportunity identification and attack strategy, and resource gap identification.
5. Drive passion for the market sector through the entirety of the technical execution teams.
6. Create project opportunities through relationships and knowledge of the market sector.
7. Be aware of latest-trend topics within market sector and facilitate learning lessons regarding these internally.
8. Actively engage in discussions with Market Sector Leaders, Account Leaders, and global resources.
9. Be a key team member within the delivery phase.
10. Develop value propositions in discovery and pursuit phases.
11. Be a pursuit leader for projects of varied scopes and sizes.
12. Share responsibility in achievement of Net Order Intake and Net Revenue goals.
13. Provide technical assistance and training opportunities to improve the overall understanding of and compliance with processes and requirements.
14. Work closely and build relationships with Arcadis team to ensure successful delivery and implementation of focus areas.
15. Prepare documents, presentations and other materials for internal and external stakeholders.
16. Participates in client-facing meetings for cultivation of and business development efforts.
17. Lead preparation of detailed engineering calculations & analysis and utilizes design software to solve complex issues.
18. Supervise and support the work of others
19. Mentor junior level engineer & design/drafting technical staff.

Qualifications & Experience:

22. Knowledge of federal procurement and design requirements
23. Experience with leading or working within multi-disciplinary teams
24. Desire to communicate sector-specific design expectations, language, and criteria and teach that to other team members.

Required Qualifications:
31. 10 years of A/E design experience in the Federal sector
32. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field of study
33. Current RA or PE License in the United States
34. 5-10 years of experience with Federal projects
35. Proven ability to write winning Federal proposals
36. Past experience with multiple federal government agencies, including but not limited to USACE, DOD, and DOE
Preferred Qualifications:
37. Masters Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field
38. 15 years of A/E design experience in the Federal sector
39. Past experience with other types of public work including State and Municipal
40. Past program management demonstrating ownership of work types and leveraging of industry relationships
