Vehicle Motion Management (VMM), which is being developed by IAV GmbH as an Integrated Chassis Control (ICC) and customizable software solution, uses a non-linear model predictive control (nMPC) to optimally control vehicle motion and realize an adjustable desired driving behavior. This desired driving behavior combines and weights selected, classic target criteria of driving safety (stability, controllability), driving comfort and driving performance (driving pleasure, driving experience) with new target criteria of highly automated driving functions (energy efficiency, chassis emissions, innovative driving strategies). In addition, the VMM is able to realize fault-tolerant vehicle movement by exploiting existing synergies and higher-level (holistic) redundancies. Your Tasks: You develop and implement functions for Vehicle Motion Management. You will work independently on work packages in the field of vehicle dynamics and control engineering. You will simulate and validate vehicle models with Matlab/Simulink and IPG CarMaker. You will analyze and evaluate simulation results. You will support the team in the creation of technical documentation and reports. Necessary Skills: Ongoing studies in a technical degree program, preferably automotive engineering, control engineering or a comparable degree program Good knowledge of Matlab/Simulink and IPG CarMaker Basic knowledge of vehicle dynamics Basic knowledge of control engineering Independent and structured way of working German and English skills at least level B2 Desired Skills: Experience with model-predictive regulations desirable Remuneration is based on our collective wage and salary agreement.
