WHAT WE OFFER In this position you are responsible for the strategic sourcing of electrical energy, steam and utilities which are used in multiple global Covestro sites. Is also responsible for the certification of these energies, both for electricity, gas and steam, and for the tracking and allocation of these properties to the products via the ISCC certification (or alternative certification systems like TüV). Your major tasks & responsibilities: You are responsible for the procurement of energy-related secondary raw materials (water, compressed air, nitrogen, etc.) Furthermore, you will be responsible for the implementation of processes and the use of IT tools to increase effectiveness and scalability on a global level: the tracking of EU ETS certificates (CO2 certificates) and Scope 2 certificates for green properties (such as GoO, REC, HKN, biogas certificates, steam certificates, H2 certificates, etc.) the successful allocation of these certificates at product or installation level the operational data exchange and tracking of the new Covestro hedging strategy implemented by the Finance department Tracking of energy volumes and costs as well as invoice verification in the new SAP system or an alternative system (such as ECMS) You support the implementation of the Scope 3 strategy (Scope 1 and 2 suppliers) You will develop and prepare supply agreements and long-term contracts with key suppliers and coordinate with tactical procurement globally to manage these contracts, taking into account all compliance regulations Finally, draft commercial terms and be aware of and execute contract management activities WHAT YOU OFFER You hold a degree in engineering (Master or equivalent), additional MBA or PhD is highly welcome Your profile shows good knowledge of products technical background and ability to swiftly gain overview of relevant markets You have basic knowledge of contract law and sourcing contracts An excellent ability to understand and swiftly adopt strategic Sourcing methodologies and techniques with all related activities distinguishes you You are very strong in negotiating, communication and presentation skills You have proven analytical decision making skills and creative thinking skills Specific knowledge of Strategic Procurement, Quality Management Systems (ISO/QS9000), Regulatory Requirements, Logistics Processes, Principles and Practices is highly desired Fluent skills in German and English round off your profile For a first telephone contact, please contact Ms Laura Popp, phone 4921460096609.
