Job Overview Sector : Construction Seniority : Open to all levels Location : Freiburg, Germany As the project controls analyst, you will support our construction project managers in consistently applying business processes, efficiency, and accounting principles for contractor purchase orders, field change orders, and invoice payments. The successful candidate will provide complex analytical support and recommendations for material requests, scheduling, project status, work execution, and completion for transmission civil and telecom work across our service territory, using tools such as grid tactical tool, SAP, and other relevant software. Your Day-to-Day Activities: · Evaluate, assess, and improve data integrity or organizational processes and controls related to the fixed asset lifecycle. · Track project budgets, costs, and expenditures, and identify any deviations from the approved budget. · Work with project managers to forecast cost trends and potential overages. · Prepare and update regular cost reports, including earned value analysis, cost variance, and financial forecasts. · Assist in identifying potential risks to project timelines, costs, and scope. · Support the development of risk mitigation plans and track risks throughout the project lifecycle. · Gather, analyze, and interpret project data to identify trends and performance metrics. · Prepare comprehensive project performance reports for management, including progress, budget adherence, and risk status. · Provide recommendations to improve project efficiency and effectiveness. · Track and manage changes to the project's scope, schedule, and budget. · Ensure all changes are documented and approved according to project governance processes. · Collaborate with cross-functional teams (management, finance, procurement, construction, etc.) to ensure timely delivery of project objectives. · Communicate regularly with project managers, senior management, and stakeholders regarding project performance, issues, and updates. · Support in the preparation of presentations for project reviews and meetings. · Create reports based on an in-depth analysis of costs and scheduling. · Provide analytical support to Managers, Supervisors, Project Managers, and field staff throughout all project and maintenance activities. · Review and report contractor spending. · Pay contractor invoices through Coupa, SAP, and Supplier Portal. · Support Construction Project Managers, Procurement, and Contractors in reviewing and understanding the end-to-end request for proposal (RFP) process. · Manage and prioritize tasks on multiple projects in a dynamic environment. · Communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.
