Reporting to the Global Commissioning Director, the Commissioning Supervisor is responsible for providing technical and organizational support to a global client base. The Commissioning Supervisor primarily manages the commissioning engineers of his area and executes customer requests for installation, commissioning, repair and troubleshooting of rotating equipment. As a secondary responsibility, he shall support the turbo activities by organizing the commissioning of the equipment as well as support the team in charge of the development of the systems. -Assign priorities to direct reports. - Identify the needs and plan hiring and training of commissioning engineers. - Coordinate the commissioning and field interventions and manage the schedule of commissioning engineers. - Ensure a proper preparation of site interventions including technical package availability and coordination with customers. - Support customers during the warranty phase. - Provide technical support to various internal and external teams. - Perform commissioning and gas trial activities on-site. - Support the development of the turbo products with a hands-on technical approach as well as market knowledge. - Perform and document functional tests of cryogenic pumps and mechanical and electrical equipment after final assembly. - Provide on-site training to customers to improve the customers’ ability to effectively operate, troubleshoot, and maintain equipment. - Program and troubleshoot control equipment such as temperature controllers, VFDs, power cables, feedthroughs, etc. - Complete Field Service/Field Trouble reports after providing site services. - Read assembly drawings, wiring schematics, and piping & instrumentation diagrams to confirm equipment functionality after it is built. - Report and/or make recommendations to engineering for improvements on products. - Work with the shop and sometimes assist with components' assembly or expertise as needed. - Bachelor’s degree or higher in technical engineering. - Previous experience in a high-travel role servicing rotating equipment internationally is mandatory. - Fluent in English. - 10 years minimum of related experience within cryogenic field. Knowledge and Critical Skills/Expertise - Above average technical communication skills. - Strong expertise on investigations, diagnose and troubleshoot products - Strong Experience in commissioning activities and troubleshooting. - Experience in managing technical engineers. - Experience reading and interpreting electrical, mechanical and process diagrams and related technical documentation. - Ability to work at customer sites with little direct supervision. - Ability to work safely and effectively within local laws. - Hands-on experience with field operation of cryogenic equipment.
