Your mission
* Develop and optimize hydrophone-based detection systems to track UAVs operating over water surfaces
* Design signal processing algorithms for identifying UAV acoustic signatures in underwater environments
* Implement passive sonar and acoustic sensing techniques to detect UAV-generated disturbances, such as propeller noise, turbulence, and RF-water interactions
* Develop multi-sensor fusion models, integrating hydrophone data with EO/IR, radar, and RF sensing systems
* Conduct real-time Doppler analysis, machine learning-based acoustic classification, and anomaly detection for UAV tracking
* Optimize low-frequency underwater sensing for extended-range UAV detection in noisy maritime environments
* Perform field testing and validation in maritime and littoral zones, ensuring system reliability under varying environmental conditions
* Ensure compliance with military and defense acoustic sensing standards (MIL-STD, NATO STANAGs, ITAR, IEC underwater acoustics)
Your profile
* 5+ years experience in underwater acoustics, sonar technology, or hydrophone-based signal processing
* Expertise in passive sonar, acoustic wave propagation, and underwater signal detection
* Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, C++, or GNU Radio for acoustic data analysis and machine learning models
* Experience with beamforming, array processing, and Doppler-based UAV classification
* Knowledge of fluid dynamics, sound propagation in water, and maritime UAV detection challenges
Nice to have
* Experience with multi-modal sensor fusion (acoustic + RF + EO/IR) for UAV detection
* Background in anti-submarine warfare (ASW), underwater surveillance, or marine autonomous systems
* Knowledge of AI-enhanced acoustic modeling and adversarial signal processing
