In this role, you will act as the lead enterprise architect for our Software business type, one of the three key business areas within Siemens Smart Infrastructure. How you’ll make an impact Lead the development and execution of the enterprise architecture strategy while ensuring alignment with business goals and long-term IT initiatives. You will guide the business in enterprise architecture decisions and identify synergies across different business types. Act as the lead architect for strategic and transformation initiatives by partnering with business leaders, IT teams, and external stakeholders. You will translate business requirements into scalable and effective solutions that drive digital transformation. Optimize the IT portfolio by streamlining the application landscape to reduce complexity, eliminate redundancies, and enhance both performance and scalability. Oversee the integration of enterprise systems to ensure data consistency, security, and a smooth flow of information across end-to-end business processes. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams while establishing governance frameworks that ensure compliance with industry standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements. Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies by evaluating and recommending new tools and solutions that enhance software business capabilities. Guide and support the architecture community and technical teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and innovation. Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of enterprise architecture initiatives. You will regularly report outcomes, opportunities, and challenges to senior leadership. Your defining qualities Education University Master degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Experience & Skills 8 years of experience in enterprise architecture and IT portfolio management, ideally within large-scale transformation programs and global organizations. Strong understanding of the software business (preferably within the industrial sector) and its technological needs, with a focus on delivering value to internal and external customers. Extensive experience with the Salesforce platform; familiarity with other enterprise solutions such as SAP, Microsoft, AWS, and Snowflake is a plus. Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) and portfolio lifecycle management best practices. Experience with Agile methodologies. Proficiency in LeanIX for Enterprise Architecture Management. Proven ability to optimize application portfolios and manage IT assets to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance business value. Expertise in cloud platforms, microservices, data management, and emerging technologies such as AI and IoT. Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
