Your Job
1. Claims management in casualty and property insurance as required at primary insurance level.
2. Examination of coverage issues in primary insurance and reinsurance policies.
3. Setting of adequate reserves for losses within the authority level.
4. Investigating and implementing loss mitigation potentials with the help of external experts.
5. Directly interacting with large corporate clients and brokers regarding coverage and indemnification.
6. Regularly communicating with our internal stakeholders such as underwriting and/or corporate underwriting on loss development and trends
7. Instructing external experts including law firms, loss adjusters, forensic accountants, etc. and monitoring the quality of these services.
8. Supporting the coordination of larger losses and events.
9. Supporting Claims Managers with administration of claims including file maintenance, payment processing, usage of applicable tools and systems, etc.
10. Proactively adhering to internal and external reporting requirements.
Your Profile
11. University degree and preferred, at least 2 years of experience as an insurance professional including experience as a Claims Consultant or claims or accounting technician with an interest in developing their profile in international, large corporate/single risk insurance claims.
12. Willingness to learn and to work proactively and independently in a changing environment.
13. Enjoy the challenge of legal and technical aspects of insurance claims.
14. Solution and service-oriented attitude, confident demeanor as well as a high level of commitment and willingness to contribute to a good team spirit.
15. Ideally, advanced knowledge of Munich Re’s claims systems, including FS-RI, ECF2, UEM, EAP, and related software (e.g. Excel), and the ability to produce reports upon request, or alternatively a willingness acquire such skills.
16. Strong additional IT affinity or data driven mindset is a definite plus.
17. Very good English language skills, as most communication is in English. Additional languages are a plus.
