What You'll Do: As a key member of the Credit Risk team in Germany and a contributor to the Group Credit function, you'll: Monitor and manage a diversified portfolio of credit exposures, including private debt and public assets, ensuring alignment with the defined risk appetite. Conduct deep credit assessments and assign internal ratings across Mid-Market Loans, Large Cap Direct Lending, Infrastructure, and Asset-Backed Lending. Improve and automate credit limit management processes, ensure adherence to risk limits, and work with the investment team to resolve breaches. Integrate ESG and climate risk factors into credit decision-making frameworks. Lead deep-dive reviews on sectors, asset classes, and thematic risks while contributing to stress testing and scenario analysis. Oversee external ratings, manage rating migrations, and recommend adjustments where necessary. Represent the Credit Risk function in governance forums, and help build strong relationships with asset managers and group-level colleagues. What You Bring: A strong academic background in finance, economics, or a quantitative field; CFA or CIA highly preferred. At least 10 years of experience in corporate credit analysis and risk management within financial services. In-depth knowledge of public IG credit and private assets including MML, Direct Lending, and Infra credit. Familiarity with Solvency II and life insurance investment frameworks. Hands-on experience with tools like Bloomberg and UBS Delta, as well as rating scorecards and Excel-based models.
