Imagine building upon the skills you've learned in the classroom through real-world hands-on experience. The intern will help design and implement automation changes in the 3pc crankshaft pack-out area to accept a new style wash/transport basket. Tasks will include: SolidWorks modeling and design Fanuc robot programming, process analysis and improvement techniques Project management If time permits, analysis of smaller diameter raw bar stock in our swiss lathe machines as a cost saving initiative. Other small tasks/projects as assigned. Internship Goals Gain a better understanding of process improvement in a manufacturing setting through analysis, design, and implementation. Develop effective communication, teamwork, and time management skills to collaborate efficiently with colleagues and manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Gain hands-on experience with the machinery used in the manufacturing process, such as CNC machines.
