A leading chemical manufacturer in Munich is seeking an Employment Lawyer with 2-4 years of experience to join its in-house legal team. This role will focus on advising on German labor law, employment contracts, workplace policies, and compliance with employment regulations. The successful candidate will work closely with HR and management to ensure best practices in labor relations while mitigating legal risks.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide legal advice on German employment law, including hiring, terminations, workplace policies, and employee relations.
2. Draft, review, and negotiate employment contracts, works council agreements, and HR policies.
3. Support the company in labor disputes, negotiations, and internal investigations.
4. Ensure compliance with German labor laws and EU employment regulations.
5. Collaborate with HR and senior management on workforce restructuring, disciplinary actions, and policy updates.
6. Monitor and advise on legal developments affecting employment law.
7. Liaise with external counsel when necessary.
Requirements:
1. 2-4 years of experience in employment law, ideally from a law firm or corporate legal team.
2. Knowledge of German labor law and experience handling works councils.
3. Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
4. Fluency in German and English
5. 2 State Exams with solid grades
