TheSenior IP Counsel (Biochemical Assays, Dyes, Reagents, and ImagingTechnologies) is responsible for developing and implementing an IPstrategy for our portfolio of Biochemical Assays, Dyes, Reagents,and Imaging Technologies. This role involves preparing (mainlyusing outside counsel), maintaining, defending, and enforcingintellectual property rights for the Life Science ResearchDivision. This position reports to the Chief IP Counsel and is partof the IP department l ocated in Wetzlar or Mannheim and will be anon-site role. Prepare mainly (using outside counsel), maintain, andenforce patents in the areas of assays, dyes, reagents, and relatedimaging technologies. A qualification as National and EuropeanPatent Attorney or even as US patent attorney is a preference. APhd degree is preferred but not necessary. Strong intellectualproperty experience, including hands-on experience in prosecutingpatents throughout at least Europe and the US. Must be able tospeak and write in English at an advanced level.
