With the planned implementation of the European Data Governance Act, the Federal Statistical Office is tapping into new target groups such as commercial enterprises, associations, clubs and start-ups that want to use administrative data for new business models. You will be part of the development team and help to set up a request management system for data users and data-holding public institutions, a user-friendly database and a powerful IT infrastructure for professional data management.
Your Responsibilities
* Gain an overview of the data landscape of the public sector and design the basic structures and building blocks of the scalable, high-performance IT infrastructure of the Data Transparency Service Center.
* Develop technical concepts for implementing the IT infrastructure and coordinate with stakeholders and IT service providers.
* Ensure information security and data protection.
* Contribute new ideas for the work process together with colleagues, live a culture of criticism and error as a positive, active and shared learning process, and represent the Federal Statistical Office at national and international meetings and conferences.

Your Qualifications
* Completed academic higher education (Master's degree / Diplom-Uni. / Magister) in the field of computer science.
* Initial experience in designing and modeling IT systems and system architectures and complex technical concepts.
* Knowledge of standards and languages for designing and documenting IT architectures, e.g. UML, TOGAF, Archimate.
* Very good written and spoken German (at least C1).
* Job-relevant knowledge and qualifications in information security or the willingness to acquire these.
* Enjoy responsible tasks and impress us with your independent and creative way of working.
