INM’s research group Structure Formation investigates how molecules, polymers and colloidal particles join to form materials. We focus on fundamental processes of structure formation and apply them to prepare new materials from liquid precursors.
Are you a bachelor or master student with a background in material science or chemistry and looking for a project? This could be the perfect opportunity for you!
Bachelor and Master Theses (F/M/D)
The Structure Formation Group at INM offers exciting projects in the following areas:
* Nanoparticle synthesis, molecular surface design, and self-assembly
* Colloidal interface functionalization
* 3D reconstruction and network analysis of hybrid materials
* Structure-property relations of multi-scale composites
* Material design for soft electronics and sensors
* Inks for soft and flexible printed electronics
* Recyclability-by-design of circular materials for electronics and energy storage/conversion
Our joint INM-Saarland University group offers exciting projects from fundamental to applied research with a motivated team of researchers and technicians and access to an extensive research infrastructure. We seek students who are motivated and bring their own ideas to the projects.
If you study in one of the BSc/MSc programs in chemistry or materials science and are interested in a thesis in this area, please do not hesitate to apply include a brief CV, transcript of records, and statement of your interests.
