About the role:
- Responsible for procurement organization and activities at regional level within the spend of Germany
- With the Category Management, develop and implement purchasing strategy for the sub-category
- Ensure that all site (plant) requirements are covered in due time with the best solution.
- Work closely with internal customers in sites across the cluster to ensure effective strategic procurement and business continuity.
Key Responsibilities
* Purchase of transport by rail for all type of goods from German plants (including strategy, negotiation, reports for approval, contract formalization, training of users, follow-up and continuous improvement).
* Support other buyers in charge of other perimeters for deliveries to Germany or crossing Germany from other countries.
* Key account manager for DB Cargo
* Participate to the Development of new solutions (technical or commercial)
* Support transversal tasks of the team.
Your profile
* You hold a Master’s degree in Engineering, Purchasing or Supply Chain.
* You speak fluently German & English. Any additional European language is appreciated.
* You have a successful track record in Procurement (min 5 years).
* As a genuine buyer, you have problem-solving and analytical skills and a good ease facing numbers.
* You have a good technical knowledge of contracts and targeted systems but also in project management and negotiation.
* You combine a strong personality/leadership and communication skills with an appetite for finding information on innovative industry trends and for market analysis.
* Result and Customer oriented, you are able to work under deadline pressure and to manage the change.
