Your Role: The Senior Medical Science Liaison, (hereafter Sr. MSL) will be responsible for managing a company product(s) within a defined territory for SpringWorks Therapeutics Europe GmbH (“Springworks Therapeutics”). This entails establishing and maintaining key scientific relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) within their territory and serving as a scientific expert to the medical community and facilitating the appropriate exchange of scientific information. Key expectations include the Sr. MSL being able to develop and maintain an advanced scientific, medical, and product knowledge base, ability to communicate key insights learned, and disseminate critical scientific data to external stakeholders; including but not limited to academic/scientific/clinical experts and patient organizations. The Sr. MSL will be responsible for ensuring timely and appropriate input on the field medical engagement plans in support of our clinical development and commercialization programs and activities. In addition, the Sr. MSL will assist, lead, and drive the support of the company’s clinical trials in partnership with the clinical development team and with researchers as appropriate. The Sr. MSL will be expected to master the MSL responsibilities and be able to take on additional leadership roles on projects and initiatives within the country or region. The Sr. MSL will be expected to work independently with little direction/oversight, be accountable, and assist the Country Medical Director as needed. Location Classification – Field-Based: Officially classified as working as a member of field organization, with the expectation of this role to travel and engage and with external partners, collaborators, and other third parties regularly on behalf of SpringWorks. LI-Remote Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Identify KOLs and establish and maintain strong and deep scientific relationships with KOLs across multi-specialty disciplines, connecting to KOLs in academic and non-academic centers at the local, regional, and national level Serve as a scientific expert to the medical community and facilitate the appropriate exchange of scientific information Communicate experts’ opinion and feedback on new data and clinical trends to Medical Affairs and translate this information into strategic recommendations to enhance science and advance patient care Act as primary liaison to investigators interested in developing and performing investigator-initiated research Collaborate with the Clinical Operations organization to enhance patient enrollment in company-sponsored clinical trials by identifying appropriate clinical trial sites, supporting clinical trial awareness, and interacting with investigators in ongoing studies Serve as medical lead and provide scientific support at medical congresses, support national and European medical booths staffing, participate and lead clinical support, and facilitate medical discussions at advisory boards and local scientific/medical programs Lead national projects such as national congresses, PAG engagement, as delegated by Country or European medical leadership Be familiar with country specific pharma rules and regulations, particularly as they apply to MSL activities Provide clinical presentations and information in response to unsolicited questions (as appropriate) in academic, non-academic, and healthcare provider settings Develop and execute territory plans in alignment with regional and national strategy Develop and maintain strong and deep relationships with clinical decision makers at local and national institutions Partner with cross functional teams, including HEOR/market access to develop the strategy and generation of health economic and outcomes data as needed, and presentation of such data to relevant audiences Serve as mentor for other new hires and/or less-experienced MSLs Manage/lead relevant medical activities/projects including, but not limited to: Facilitate and lead field medical onboarding programs, and support training of commercial (including sales) colleagues Support Country Medical Director in translating the medical affairs strategy to a national KOL engagement plan and ensures the KOL development translates to individual territories Partner with Global Medical Information colleagues to continuously improve Standard Response Letters and efficiency of MIRF process As a senior member of the medical team, contribute to the national, and as needed regional, medical strategy and medical plan Provide scientific support to Country Medical Director and facilitate medical discussion for national medical advisory boards Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned Role Requirements: Education: Advanced Scientific degree or equivalent experience required. (MD, PhD, PharmD) Minimum of 5 years MSL experience in the pharmaceutical industry Rare disease experience preferred, particularly in Oncology and/or Neurosciences Demonstrated mastery of effectively presenting clinical/scientific information Expert level proficiency with business software including but not limited Veeva CRM or a comparable customer relations management tool, to Adobe Professional, and the Microsoft Office Suite of applications Ability to understand, review, and communicate complex technical concepts and technologies Working knowledge of the relevant national compliance guidance for pharmaceutical manufacturers Leadership skills including experience working with cross-functional teams with positive impact outside own organization Highly collaborative with outstanding relationship management skills Energetically embraces responsibilities and demonstrates ability to achieve goals Ability to thrive in conditions of uncertainty Advanced decision-making abilities; especially under conditions of uncertainty with implications beyond immediate team Ability to relate and work with a wide range of people and functions to achieve results Fluent in local language(s) and a high level of English proficiency Strong attention to detail and ability to organize and prioritize own work schedule Has a strong personal initiative, acts as a team player, and demonstrates flexibility, innovation, and execution Embody the SpringWorks Values to act with empathy and humility to drive a culture that takes ownership and accountability for their individual and teams’ performance.
