What’s it all about?
Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA) in Europe is responsible for delivering consulting projects to clients across the region, in a wide range of payment subject areas, in support of Visa revenue targets. The European VCA team is organised around several key Service Lines and Practice Areas such as Portfolio Optimisation, Strategy, Digital and Risk. To date Portfolio Optimization (PO) accounts for approximately 35% of VCA Europe’s total business We are currently looking for a Portfolio Optimisation Manager to support the continued development of this VCA practice. This role will be client facing, based in Frankfurt to support new project sales and delivery for our team across Central Europe.
Example of our VCA PO clients services include (but not limited to)
* Deliver breakthrough digital payment strategies that deliver higher levels of portfolio performance and growth for Visa issuing clients
* Working in partnership with our data science team to create bespoke customer segmentation and propensity models to focus portfolio performance strategies
* Design and build best in class card and payment value propositions that may include new loyalty schemes, premium customer offerings and more
What we expect of you, day to day:
As the Portfolio Optimisation practice manager based in Frankfurt you be responsible for partnering with the rest of the local VCA team in Central Europe to deliver a strong pipeline of client engagements, delivering projects end to end. In addition to your client facing role, you will be a crucial member of our Pan Europe PO practice team and as such will connect together with the other regional leads on key European or global initiatives. The expected responsibilities of this position may include:
* Act as an extension of our local client consulting teams, ready to be embedded into client engagements and projects – supporting the full consulting lifecycles from new business development through to project delivery (virtually and onsite). Key markets to cover include: Germany, Switzerland, Austria and the Netherlands
* Support the implementation of Portfolio Optimisation Go-To-Market strategy introducing new VCA solutions to clients in the region, by developing multi-channel communication plan that promotes VCA Portfolio Optimisation services to Visa clients but also internally to all relevant Visa sales teams
* Work with our new Global and European Intelligence & Data solutions (I&DS) team to identify new data products, subscriptions and data driven consulting offerings for our clients that ultimately will help them unlock higher levels of portfolio performance (e.g. growth in active cards, total purchase volumes, primary banking relationships etc.)
* Enhance internal management reporting and scorecard tracking to show impact of VCA PO engagements towards Visa senior and executive teams
* Work closely with other VCA PO practice teams around the world to leverage best practice and content and ideas from other regions that support EU targets
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Qualifications
• Previous consulting experience (professional services or within an internal consultancy function for a financial services / payment business)
• Strong business analysis and data manipulation skills (research and analyse market and client information to tell a story)
• Commercial acumen – being able to spot an opportunity and drive value for Visa and the Client
• Self-starter and attention to detail
• Highly organised with strong project management skills
• Ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders at various levels within the business
• Excellent and creative PowerPoint skills
• Excellent presentation and communication skills (written and verbal) including an ability to comprehend and convey complex technical information
• Excellent report writing skills (ability to tell a simple ‘story’ involving complex issues)
• Fluent in written and spoken English (additionally German would be very beneficial)
• Curiosity & willingness to learn and develop as a professional
• Ability to travel (up to 25% of the time across Visa EU territory)
