The opportunity:
For our Headquarter in Düsseldorf we are looking for a
Category Manager (m/f/x) (Maternity Cover)
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
* Take ownership in assortment management & product lifecycle of a defined area for b&m and E-Commerce
* Take ownership for suppliers in area of responsibility (business meetings/ reviews and follow ups, define joint opportunities etc.)
* Continuous monitoring/ review and analysis of market, supplier and brand/ product performances as well as budget
* Complete overview on existing as well as new floorplans for further planning and actions
* Take responsibility for merchandising updates/ orders incl. localization as well as delivery for corner and store openings
* Continuous monitoring and review of quality of different merchandising supplier cooperation as well as improve processes and take further actions, if applicable plus maximize opportunities within merchandising supplier network
* Develop and build relationship with category key people/ functions at HQ in Paris as well as further stakeholders (i.e. retail etc.)
* Take ownership on cross-department collaboration including marketing, visual merchandising, sales goals, CRM & digital during brand and important launches during the year
KPIs
* Sales growth: Growth in sales per category
* Contribution margin: Profitability of the category
* Inventory turnover: Frequency of inventory turnover
* Inventory accuracy: Accuracy of actual vs. target inventory
* Product availability: Availability of products
* Sales development: Sales trends within the category
* Product margins: Profit margins per product
Personal Skills/ Competencies
* Minimum 3 year on same or similar position, good knowledge of category management, marketing and sales principles – product, brand & trade marketing knowledge focus
* Understanding of data analysis and calculation methods with focus on excel files
* Proficient in MS Office – mandatory knowledge of Powerpoint and Excel –advances user
* An analytical mind with a strategic ability
* Excellent communication skills (English is a must)
* Good organisational skills
* Be able to work in agile & flexible environment
